Ellensburg Traffic Safety Request

Do you have a traffic safety request? Email EPD to report an ongoing traffic issue. This should not be used for one-time instances of violations. Requests will be handled in the order they are received as City resources are available.

Concealed Pistol Licenses

• CPL applications and renewals will be processed by appointment only.  City of Ellensburg residents, please call 509-962-7280, or send us an email to schedule an appointment.  

• To save time, we ask that you fill out your CPL application prior to your appointment, if possible.  Go to the Washington State Department of Licensing’s website for printable forms. Please make sure you include your phone number on the application.

• CPL fees: $48 new application, $32 renewal, $42 late renewal, $10 replacement.  Please have payment ready at the time of appointment. Cash, check, and credit card payments are accepted. Credit card fees will be passed on to the customer.

Handle With Care Program

What is the Handle With Care Program? Handle With Care is a nation-wide program developed to help prevent and/or mitigate the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences through school-community-first responder partnerships. The program was adopted in Ellensburg, Washington, November 2024, and is currently expanding to surrounding communities throughout Kittitas County, Washington.
