Our community center is a multipurpose conference and event auditorium located at the Ellensburg Public Library in historic downtown Ellensburg. The auditorium can be subdivided into 3 separate rooms named the KIttitas, Ellensburg and Teanaway rooms. Attached to the Teanaway room is a 850 square foot stage with lighting, baby grand piano and sounds system.  All reservations include the tables and chairs needed for your event and we offer, for a nominal fee, a warming service kitchen for catering. The Hal Holmes Community Center is an ideal location for local and statewide private and public events. 


To place a reservation please complete the following RESERVATION REQUEST FORM  

On the form request your desired dates, event description, chair and table layout, A/V needs and contact information. We will get back to you as quickly as possible to confirm your request or talk about alternate dates and availability.

If you would like to speak to a staff member about a reservation, please call the Hal Holmes Community Center office at 509-962-7240. If you are leaving a message please include your desired calendar dates, event time and duration (including time to set-up and clean up your event), number of guests and your contact information. Our staff will contact you about availability and your event needs.

Please see the menu items on the right for room rates, event layouts and the rental contract. Facility rentals are available Monday-Saturday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

All parties must be out of the facility by 11 p.m.

Hal Holmes DOES NOT have a commercial kitchen. We offer a warming kitchen for the service of off-site prepared foods and refrigeration of beverages or items served. Only food prepared by a licensed caterer or commercial kitchen can be served to the public. Community potlucks are permissible following WA DOH guidelines, no fee or cost may be associated with potluck food service.

We do not rent or lend furnishings or AV equipment for off-site use.
