Patrol is the largest division of the Ellensburg Police Department. The patrol division currently consists of seventeen commissioned officers. These officers are divided into four squads. Three of the four squads include a sergeant, a corporal and two patrol officers, with one of the three squads including a police service dog team. One squad includes a sergeant and three patrol officers due to one corporal being assigned as the Department School Resource Officer.

These officers provide the staffing to patrol the City of Ellensburg 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • Firearms
  • Defensive Tactics
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations
  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Traffic Accident Investigations
  • Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Field Training of New Officers
  • Response to Unusual Occurrences
