The Ellensburg Police Department consists of five divisions:
The Administration Division
is comprised of the Chief of Police, an Operations Captain, Administrative Captain and the Administrative Supervisor.
The Animal Control Division
consists of the Shelter Manager, two full-time Animal Control Officers and two part-time Shelter Aides.
The Code Enforcement Division
consists of two full-time Code Enforcement Officers whose primary duties are the enforcement of city codes and nuisance properties.
The Investigations Division
is comprised of a Detective Sergeant, two Detectives and two Anti-Crime Detectives.
The Patrol Division
is the largest division and currently consists of 17 fully commissioned officers. They are the eyes and ears of the Police Department, who respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
The Records Division
consists of three full-time Secretary/Records Clerk and one part-time Secretary/Records Clerk. Together they are responsible for processing & maintaining every report, record and ticket issued by Ellensburg Officers.
