Water Utility
History & Services
Established by the City in 1933, the Water utility has grown to serve 4,700 customers delivering 1.5 billion gallons of water annually.

Rates & Revenues
Operating revenues for 2008 are projected at $3.4 million. Water is pumped into the City's system from several deep water wells located throughout the City and surrounding area. The utility has reservoir facilities at Craig's Hill and the airport.

Current capacity and future plans for improvements to the system should assure residents that the City will be able to accommodate the future water needs of the growing community. Through constant monitoring, testing, repairing, and upgrading of the sources and distribution of the system, the City provides a safe, reliable water supply to its customers.
