Gas Safety Information
Transportation of gas is one of the safest modes of transportation, and in particular, the City of Ellensburg’s system has an enviable safety record. The Gas Division produces and issues many safety related items throughout the year for the general public.
Additionally, The U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced the launch of a new Pipeline Safety Awareness Website
and the American Public Gas Association produces an electronic magazine
for customers about the uses and benefits of America's natural gas.
For construction industry safety, the Gas Division is continually addressing excavation issues, minimizing potential damage to its own (and other) utilities, and promoting the “Call Before You Dig” program. The Gas Division also offers free training in natural gas safety. Please, contact us by email
or by phone at (509) 962-7124, if you would like to arrange a training seminar.
