Face Coverings Optional For Fully Vaccinated People In Most City Facilities

Effective immediately, City employees and customers who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 will not be required to wear a face covering in most City facilities, although they may continue to wear one if they choose to. Note: These changes do not apply to the Ellensburg Public Library or Hal Holmes Community Center staff or customers, Central Transit, and some recreation programs (including the Adult Activity Center and the Stan Bassett Youth Center) as they were exempted in the Proclamation or given other guidance.

These updates are in response to the Governor’s new requirements issued in Proclamation 20-25.13 on May 21, 2021.

Customers who are not fully vaccinated will continue to be required to wear a face covering and maintain six feet of physical distance when in a City facility. Face coverings are available at the entrance to each City facility.
