The Good Life Community Discussions: The Language of Liberty

Tuesday, March 7, 2023

What makes a life meaningful? Can money really buy happiness? Can we have good lives without art or music? Is online communication making us lonely or bringing us together?
These are topics that the Good Life Community Discussions seek to explore. Offered by the CWU EthicsLab in partnership with the Ellensburg Public Library, the monthly discussions will offer Ellensburg community members the opportunity to explore what it means to live well.
Each meeting will feature several brief presentations before group discussion and dialog. Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Hal Holmes Community Center. This session will feature a student-led discussion of free speech in the modern age through the lens of philosophy and law.
The CWU EthicsLab seeks to promote critical thinking, cultivate ethical leadership, and facilitate multidisciplinary humanities projects focused on moral and political issues. To learn more about the EthicsLab, visit cwu.edu/ethicslab
